The Courtyard
The courtyard is the jewel in the crown. With its eclectic mix of flora and foliage our courtyard has the feeling of rustic charm and a bygone era, the perfect setting for parties and gatherings. A dramatic entrance for all your guests on arrival and plenty of interesting outside seating and tables in all the nooks and crannies. The old creamery with its original wooden door is a wonderful backdrop for the wedding dress or family photo. The festoon lighting creates a relaxing Mediterranean atmosphere on a warm summers evening and lights up the sky on a crisp winter night.
The Roundhouse Barn
The Roundhouse Barn is the heart of the venue. A charming early 19th century converted grain store in the middle of the courtyard. It is a perfect dining space for smaller gatherings of up to 40 guests sitting down or 50 for a self-service buffet. Wonderful for either a sharing banquet on our long rustic trestle tables or fine dining on intimate scattered round tables! The Barn is amazing for small intimate weddings but also brilliant for serving drinks and canapes on arrival or a quintessential English vintage tea. The blank canvas with its old beamed and vaulted ceiling and white washed walls will allow you to decorate and create your own unique wedding.
The Greenfield Marquee
Sprawling across our beautiful lawn overlooking Cornwall and the Tamar Valley is our wonderful canvas marquee. We have tables and chairs for up to 120 people and plenty of space for different seating option, separate head table, games and performances, as well as a great dance floor to strut your stuff into the evening. This is a fantastic opportunity to really make your own wedding day and make sure to look through the gallery for more photos and inspiration. The Greenfield Marquee is available from June to August.
The Corner Barn
Recently converted from the original harness room The Corner Barn is a brilliant place for intimate Elopement weddings, as meeting your guests after the ceremony. A great place for relaxing and chatting and with an outside covered brick terrace perfect for any weather. The woodburner creates a cosy warm ambience on chilly spring and autumn evenings and the canopy will shade you from the hot summer sun. With no corkage charges the quirky rustic bar made from old crates will allow you to display wine, beer and soft drinks allowing guests to help themselves or can be used as a traditional bar if required.
Ceremonies
We have a choice of Civil Service wedding locations both inside and out situated across the venue, including our beautiful Devon wedding pergola with views across Cornwall. Or if its in the Winter months you might choose to be inside the Corner Bar Barn with the wood fire blasting. There is no extra charge for the civil ceremony but it is your responsibility to find a registrar and you can find our favourites over on our supplier page.
